Inside 152 Media: Our Approach to Every Publisher Integration

At 152 Media, we don’t do «one-size-fits-all.» When a publisher trusts us with their programmatic revenue, we don’t just hand over a generic script and walk away. Every site has its own audience, its own design, and its own unique set of headaches.

That’s why our onboarding is meticulously planned. We want the transition to be smooth and performance to be strong from day one, all while making sure user experience and site security stay rock-solid.

Here is a behind-the-scenes look at how our team handles each new integration, step by step.

1. The Pre-Flight Check: Our First Deep Dive
Before we deploy a single line of code, we dig into the publisher’s current setup. We align commercial expectations and double-check every regulatory requirement to keep things compliant.

Commercial Alignment & IO: First, we nail down the terms of the Insertion Order (IO) so we’re both on the same page regarding goals and conditions.

Privacy & Compliance: We work closely with our Data Protection Officer (DPO) to handle GDPR, CCPA, and more. We make sure Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) are dialed in before any traffic hits our demand partners.

Inventory Quality Check: We run the site through our internal quality tools, looking at viewability, structure, and brand safety to make sure it meets the standards of a premium marketplace.

2. Tuning the Engine: Fixing Bottlenecks Early
Once everything is signed, our tech team jumps in to plug any revenue leaks and clear out performance hurdles.

Ads.txt & Supply Chain Audit: We audit ads.txt files to remove dead weight and implement our demand paths correctly. We also rigorously check the Supply Chain object to ensure the chain isn’t broken. If a buyer sees a discrepancy, they won’t bid—it’s that simple. A clean ads.txt and Schain are essential for revenue.

Demand Balancing: We look at how demand partners interact in the publisher’s specific environment. We set auction timeouts that give partners time to bid high without hurting the site’s loading speed.

3. The Launch Window: The First Seven Days
Launch is just the start. The first week is critical for machine learning calibration. During this time, our team stays hyper-focused on technical performance and security.

Staying Ahead of Invalid Traffic (IVT)

We take fraud seriously. To protect your inventory, we cross-reference two main data streams:
1. Our Proprietary Tech: We use our own tools to spot bot activity, accidental clicks, and unusual patterns in real time.

2. Partner Monitoring: we contrast our data with fraud detection tools from global leaders like Google and Microsoft

The Metrics We Watch Closely

Key Metric Why it Matters Our Action Plan
Bid Rate & Fill Rate Confirming global demand is actually seeing and bidding on your inventory. If a specific region is lagging, we tweak the pricing (floors) immediately.
Render Latency Making sure ads appear fast enough to be seen before the user scrolls away. We fine-tune lazy-loading to boost real, measurable viewability.
Discrepancies Ensuring our dashboard matches what the SSPs are reporting. If discrepancies cross the 5-10% mark, we investigate ad blockers or technical glitches.

A Partnership, Not Just a Script

By the end of week one, your setup isn’t just «new»—it’s a tuned engine. We’ll walk you through the initial data, showing you where the revenue is coming from and what our plan is for the coming months.

Onboarding is just the foundation. At 152 Media, we handle the heavy lifting—tech, compliance, and security—so you can focus on creating great content.
